How to Use Audio Files
Here at Soroush.co.uk almost all audio products have a sample audio file, which let's you hear some parts of the CD or Tape before you buy the whole album.
Follow these steps and have a look at notes about the audio files:
Download
RealPlayer Basic
from
Real.com
Install it on your computer.
Click on the audio icon of a product in its individual page or in a list of products.
If RealPlayer is properly installed on your computer, then it will play the file for you; other wise you'll be prompted to choose a location to
save
the file.
NOTES:
Files are in
RealAudio
format. This is a very common format in the internet which you can play using 'RealPlayer'.
RealPlayer
can be downloaded from
Real.com
.
There are two versions: Plus and Basic.
RealPlayer Basic is FREE
and has enough features for playing our files.
When you click on an audio link in a page, your browser opens 'RealPlayer' and automatically starts playing the file. At
Netscape
however, the browser will download the whole file, and then starts playing it. In either case when the file is played once,
it is stored in your computer
, so that you can play it as many times as you wish without any need to wait for it to be downloaded again. Even when you go off-line, you can still play these files.
We've tried to keep the size of each file between 150-180 Kb; which isn't a lot for today's connections.
The file size is proportional to the file's quality. This means that due to size limitations, we cannot offer you the true 44Khz CD quality samples. If we had recorded these samples in a higher quality, you'd simply had to wait much more for a file to be downloaded.
We do not use Streaming Files, because then you wouldn't have the file stored in your hard drive, for off-line plays.
